Most of the world’s attention when it comes to live poker is currently fixated on the city of Las Vegas right now, thanks to the World Series of Poker. Although this tournament is the biggest, best and most prestigious in the world, it is not along this July in providing poker fans with entertaining live games. Across the UK and Ireland there are a number of great live poker tournaments happening this month. We shouldn’t forget about the homegrown events this July which offer nail-biting games and huge prize pools. Take a look at our roundup of the best live poker tournaments to be seen and played at in July!

Dusk Till Dawn and Partypoker are running no less than five live poker events this July. These tournaments include the $50,000 guaranteed Grand Prix Poker Tour (GPPT) Minis at Bristol, Newcastle, Birmingham, and Glasgow, with the final one being the massive $250,000 guaranteed GPPT Brighton leg taking place at the end of the month.

Ireland can boast two major poker tournaments this month, firstly the LSPkr 30/30 Series II and also the Northern Open, both of which are being held in Dublin city. The former will be in the Clayton Airport Hotel and the latter in the Green Isle Hotel on the 29th to 31st of July.

888poker will be hosting not one, not two but three great live poker tournaments at Aspers Casino in London this July. Poker players will be able to choose from the 888 Max Poker Event, the 888 Summer Special, and then the 888 Live Local event.

One of the most popular and respected live poker tours in the UK is undoubtedly the Grosvenor Poker Series. It has probably the most eagerly anticipated poker tournament in the UK this month, with the 2016 Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Goliath event on the 28th of July to the 7th of August in the Ricoh casino in Coventry. It is promising to be a massive event, even more amazing than last year’s record-breaking field of 4,120 who took part in the £120 buy-in event. A £421,000 prize pool was up for grabs, far outweighing the £250,000 guarantee. This year, the organisers are hoping to attract a field of 5,000 players for the Goliath event.
